The San Francisco Ferry Building. The Ferry Building is your starting point for a cruise on the Bay, head to Sausalito for brunch or just sit outside and enjoy the view. Newly renovated, the Ferry Building is more then just a hub for boat riders. The San Francisco Ferry Building Marketplace is a people's marketplace, serving residents and travelers alike. Located within the historic San Francisco Ferry Building at the foot of Market Street, shops large and small celebrate food in all its forms, offering everything from artisan cheeses to the freshest of local fish. Restaurants and cafés serve cuisine representing the quality and cultural diversity of San Francisco's best chefs. Enjoy the vibrant sights and sounds that make the Ferry Building a popular waterfront destination. Stroll through the Ferry Building Marketplace and explore the agricultural richness the greater Bay Area has to offer.
The Farmer's Market at the Ferry Building. You may not need lots of fresh produce to take back to your room with you, but how about some fresh-cut flowers from Half Moon Bay or a jar of local honey? A breathtaking walk across the Embarcadero promenade, surrounded by the region's farmers and foodies, celebrating the chance to do what many locals love best: Eat. Saturdays, 8am - 2pm; Tuesdays 10am - 2pm; Thursdays 3pm - 7pm; Sunday Garden Market, 9am - 3pm.
The Embarcadero Center. Very cool shops and lots of delicious food. There's also the Landmark Embarcadero Cinema, known more for its support of the independent film community than showing big blockbusters. And just steps away is the turn-around for the California Street cable car line, which will easily carry you up to the top of Nob Hill and down the other side. Our Embarcadero hotel is located just three blocks from the Center.
The F-Line and Fisherman's Wharf. This brand new rail system will whisk you along the Embarcadero, from Union Square to Fisherman's Wharf and Pier 39, where you can experience a simulated earthquake, walk through a giant aquarium, feast on clam chowder in a sourdough bowl or photograph the resident sea lions.
SBC Ball Park. Home to the San Francisco Giants, the stadium is nestled next to the Bay and is in easy walking distance of the Harbor Court Hotel.
The Rincon Center. Outside, it's a beautiful post office from the 1920s. Inside, a bevy of shops and such. Go look at the murals on the walls, gaze at the five-story open waterfall…or send off the postcards you've written at the nearby post office.
The Financial District. Here is where the work gets done. Just blocks from the hotel, and even closer if you choose to take the complimentary hotel town car to the office. |
