Oddball Films

Oddball Films is a movie theater in San Francisco, which, as its name implies, specializes in offbeat footage. Founded by Stephen Parr, an avant-garde film and video producer who worked with Ridley Scott on the classic Blade Runner, founded the company in the 80s. They now house a collection of more than 50,000 film elements. Currently, they work with studios such as ABC News, Amazon, NFL Films, and Sony Pictures, as a “cinematic think tank” and supplier of unusual stock footage. They host screenings each Thursday and Friday night and make announcements at oddballfilms.blogspot.com. On the 10th you can see Betty Boopathon!, a program of 16 mm cartoons from the 1930s. The price is only $10 per person. Be sure to RSVP ASAP, as only limited seating is available.
