Pier 39 always has an exciting day in store for you, but it’s especially true on the Fourth of July when the pier hosts a whole day of festivities perfect for the family. Explore all that the pier has to offer, from the Aquarium of the Bay and virtual 3D rides to shops, restaurants and street performers. Spend the afternoon bouncing from one activity to the next, decked out in your most festive red, white, and blue attire! Then, from 3-6 p.m., check out the buzzing live entertainment on the Entrance Plaza Stage and dance into the evening. By night, settle into your spot along the pier and look toward the sky to catch the city’s thrilling firework display, starting at 9:30 p.m. It’ll be the perfect way to end an idyllic day in the city.
