You may have visited Chinatown in various cities all over the country, but Chinatown in San Francisco is an experience unlike any other, and you won’t want to miss out!

With tons of small businesses, theaters, temples, and teahouses, the community stands as the largest Chinatown outside of Asia and one of the oldest in the country. Stop by for an afternoon of incredible culture—everything from the food to the souvenir shops is reflective of the authentic, local Chinese heritage. The original town was nearly wiped out during the 1906 earthquake but rebuilt true to Chinese style. Time it just right and your visit will align with a momentous celebration for the Chinese New Year. On Saturday, February 23, join in on the elaborate and colorful festivities for the Year of the Pig New Year Parade!
