This time of year ushers in endless festive fun throughout the city. Families, couples, and friends can experience the magic of the holiday season in San Francisco by checking out all of the shows, lights, eats, and more that the city has to offer.

One place that’s always at the top of our list is the Civic Center, which hosts The Nutcracker ballet and an expansive winter park throughout the month of December. First, experience a holiday tradition by attending The Nutcracker, from composer Peter Tchaikovsky and choreographer Helgi Tomasson. Then, make your way through Civic Center’s Winter Park, modeled after the Wiener Eistraum in Vienna, with a giant skating rink and a 400-foot-track winding through the main plaza’s winter wonderland. Whether you’re looking for a quick stroll or an all-day outing, you won’t want to miss out on this holiday tradition!
